His previous experience in the commercial banking profession presents him a unique understanding of the financial reporting issues faced by small businesses. His observations not only helped lead to the firm’s inception, but also were the source of many of its categorical distinctions, including the ability to offer CPA-level financial analysis for small and moderate sized businesses at an affordable price.
Matthew is the chief relationship manager for the firm, personally ensuring client satisfaction with each and every service provided.

Steve Jennings

Steve Jennings Restaurant/Hospitality Industry Consultant

 

Steve Jennings serves an important role as a Group 11 Advisors industry consultant utilizing his many years of experience. Mr. Jennings has significant knowledge of the restaurant industry having held management positions in both the operating and financial sides of the business. He has been providing consulting and back office services in the restaurant industry since 2009 and is currently providing accounting and/or consulting services for well over 200 restaurants.
Industry Experience and Influence He started his career with Marie Callender’s Restaurant & Bakery and was the Chief Financial Officer from 1991 through 2001. During his tenure, the company grew from 70 locations to a peak of 200 restaurants. He was involved in the sale of the company four times and two major acquisitions. Additionally, the company entered into multiple retail licensing agreements and dozens of restaurant franchise agreements. His experience in the Credit and Equity markets ranged from an $8,000,000 credit agreement to a complete recapitalization in excess of $100,000,000.
His experience also includes three years as the Chief Financial Officer of Sunrise Grower’s, a vertically integrated real estate, agricultural and manufacturing company. During this time, he oversaw a period of significant growth and a major liquidity event for the owner. After Sunrise, Steve came back to the restaurant industry, serving as Chief Financial Officer of Ruby’s Diner, Inc. and Salt Creek Grille prior to forming restaurant consulting practice. Steve has extensive experience with franchising, equity and credit markets and as the CFO involved in both buy-side and sell-side transactions.
